According to superstition, each and every grain of lentil symbolizes money, thus the more you consume, the richer you will become. For several years now the leaders of the city of Szekesfehervar have offered dishes of lentils, bringing luck, to the population craving for a successful New Year. Great number of families with children, couples and companies of friends visit the distribution of lentil bringing luck. On the first day of the new year, we await the people of Szekesfehervar and our kind guests in the square in front of the Alba Plaza with dishes of lentils cooked in the stew cannons of the Hungarian Army.
